Dec. 28—A young Auburn man suffered serious injuries Tuesday night when he stopped his car on a Manchester road and tried to help a stranded motorist, authorities said.

Jonathan Griffin, 18, suffered serious injuries when struck by a 2016 Volkswagen Jetta on Raymond Wieczorek Drive about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, New Hampshire State Police said.
