Auburn moves up five spots in the USA Today coaches poll
The Auburn Tigers are in more familiar territory this week after a new edition of the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll.
Auburn took a big dip last week despite a victory, but the Tigers are back to their typical range this season after handily defeating Colgate 93-66. Auburn came in at No. 14 in the coaches poll, jumping up five spots from its previous ranking.
The Tigers haven’t lost a game yet, but some of their wins against the initial non-conference slate they’ve been playing to start the year haven’t come easy. Auburn’s last big drop in the rankings last week came after a close five-point win over Saint Louis, but the Tigers have also had close wins against Northwestern and USF.
Auburn’s next matchup will be against the Memphis Tigers at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta for Holiday Hoopsgiving.
