Auditions for 'Putnam County Spelling Bee' set for Feb. 22 and 24

Auditions for "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at the Cambridge Performing Arts Center are scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 22 and 24 at the theater.

"This is a small cast production with no ensemble," said Producer Anne Chlovechok. "All parts are leads."

Auditions are open to men and women age 16 and over.

Those auditioning should come prepared with a song that can be sung a cappella or with a provided recorded track. They can also be accompanied on piano by providing the accompaniment.

Lines will be provided for the individual who are auditioning to read.

Rehearsals will begin the week following auditions, and show dates are during the evenings of April 29, 30, May 6 and 7, and the afternoons of May 1 and 8.

Directors are Lindsay Newman Mackie and Stephen David Wolverton while the Music Director is Janine Bock.
