Augusta area facing another vote. Here's what to know about the runoff, special election
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story contained a misprint on the advance voter schedule for the Georgia House District 129 race. The first week of early voting is Monday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Dec. 3. The story has been updated.
This year's elections are not over yet.
On Monday, Nov. 28, advance voting will start for multiple races, including a statewide general runoff for U.S. Senate, a special runoff for Augusta's District 2 to determine its school board representative, and a special primary for the House District 129 Representative.
Here's what voters in Richmond and Columbia counties should know:

Election Day is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 and all polls will be open for voters to cast ballots at their local, designated polling place.
While the race between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock was very close, the local District 2 school board race had Incumbent Charlie Hannah with a clear majority over his competitors Yiet Knight and Larry Fryer. Although 49.57% is close, Hannah needed at least 50% plus one vote to avoid a runoff with second-place vote-getter Fryer, who nabbed 33.96% in the general election.
District 2 is in the central Augusta area, consisting of schools such as Bayvale Elementary, Jenkins-White Elementary and Collins Elementary.
Another Richmond County school board seat that will soon be open is that of District 6. newcomer Tyrique Robinson was set to replace A.K. Hasan in the New Year after winning the seat unopposed, but the 20-year-old was found dead by suicide on Tuesday.
Richmond County Board of Elections Director Travis Doss said via email that the school board is still looking into the situation. If a special election is needed, the first available is March 21, 2023.
District 6 is in the south Augusta area, consisting of schools such as Cross Creek High School, Tobacco Road Elementary and Windsor Spring Elementary.
