Delta Air Lines has announced six new passenger-jet routes to Augusta to accommodate the expected flood of visitors to the 2024 Masters Tournament.

New routes are planned from Washington, D.C., Boston and Austin, Texas – cities where the airline said “passenger demand for nonstop service to the Masters is high,” along with flights from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport; Palm Beach, Florida.; and Orlando, Florida.

Delta also will resume flights from New York's LaGuardia and Detroit and expand services from Atlanta, the airline said in a prepared statement Friday.

The 1,300-plus Delta seats available for Augusta nearly doubles its capacity last year, the airline said, and a 30% increase over 2019.

Augusta Regional Airport this week is expected to provide more details, the airport said Monday.

“Delta will provide golf enthusiasts worldwide with increased access to the game with over 200 convenient one-stop connections to Augusta through our leading hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Boston and now notably via JFK where Delta operates a robust global network,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning. “And as an official partner again this year, customers can expect a Delta experience that goes beyond the flight, from takeoff to the greens in Augusta.”
