Augustana College announces two new members of Board of Trustees

Augustana College announced the election of two members of the college’s Board of Trustees.

Robert Anderson and Ronald Workman, both 1980 Augustana graduates, were elected to the Board January 27. According to a release, the new members will provide valuable insights as the college launches its new strategic plan, Augustana Bold and Boundless.

Anderson studied accounting and economics at Augustana College and earned his master’s in business administration from Harvard University. Anderson is co-chairman and principal of Birtcher Anderson & Davis in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. He has served as president of Birtcher Anderson Properties, Inc., since 1992.

“The opportunity to be a trustee for Augustana promises to be an eye-opening experience for me — getting to work in concert with a group of folks that, while large and diverse, all share the same interest in making the college the best it can be, both today and into the future,” Anderson said.

“From the foundational education, personal growth and many longstanding relationships, Augustana provided me with a transformational life experience,” Workman said. “Serving on the board is an opportunity to pay it forward and ensure continued success for generations to come.”
