Aurora Knights of Columbus starting third kettle corn season

The Knights of Columbus will be selling kettle corn every Wednesday through Labor Day at their booth set up in the parking lot at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

The Aurora Knights of Columbus Council #14186 will begin season three of its drive-thru kettle corn sales from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 342 S. Chillicothe Road.

The sale will take place every Wednesday evening through Labor Day. Cash or credit cards are accepted.

While supporting many local charities, the Knights have been dedicating a significant portion of the proceeds to buy and deliver food to the Volunteers of America Aurora Food Pantry. In the year and one half since the group has been supporting the food pantry on a weekly basis, they have purchased more than $20,000 of supplies as directed by the pantry management. In addition to manning the weekly kettle corn booth, the Knights have set up a kettle corn booth at the Aurora Fourth of July festivities and the the Aurora Fall Festival. Last year, the Knights provided free Kettle Corn for the Aurora tree lighting ceremony. They also have had a booth at the Mantua Ox Roast for many years.
