Aurora man dies after one-vehicle crash in Trumbull County

An Aurora man died after driving off the road in Trumbull County early Sunday morning.

Sean Ganzhorn, 35, of Aurora, died at about 1:35 a.m. on state Route 46 just south of the Cortland city line in Bazetta Township, Trumbull County, according to the Warren Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Ganzhorn was driving a black 2022 Ford F-350 southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, the patrol said in a release. He died at the scene after traveling off the left side of the roadway, striking a ditch, two large trees and a roadway sign.

The Bazetta Township Fire Department, Bazetta Township Police Department and Cortland City Police Department assisted at the crash scene.

Ganzhorn was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said. The road was closed for about three hours. The crash remains under investigation.
