Adult Summer Reading Book Challenge

This year’s challenge runs June 1 through Aug. 10 at Aurora Memorial Library. Beginning May 28, you may stop in to pick up your reading logs, then record your summer selections. Upon completion of the challenge, register at the reference desk for an entry into a drawing for one of two gift cards. Winners will be drawn on Aug. 12.

New this year is a 5-book bonus round for a chance to win a bag full of fun stuff, including a family 4-pack of passes to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Eligible entrants must complete the 10-book challenge round, then submit bonus entries by 6 p.m. Aug. 10.  Winners of the first round are also eligible to win the bonus round. Aurora Cooks! meeting at library

Get your grill on with the Aurora Cooks! group at the Aurora Memorial Library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. June 13. Start the summer off right by sharing some new ideas for grilling recipes and tips on putting together a great cookout. A generous selection of cookbooks is available – stop by the library and check them out.

Aurora Memorial Library, a Portage County District Library branch, is located at 115 E. Pioneer Trail in Aurora.  Hours of operation: are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
