Austin 2020 Thanksgiving Dining Guide

AUSTIN, TX — The coronavirus has altered many of our traditions and routines, what with the ongoing need for physical distancing and protective facial coverings as part of our routine to mitigate the spread of illness. Yet opportunities to pick up a Thanksgiving feast to enjoy in the safe environs of home among loved ones abound in Austin.

Patch has compiled some of the best culinary offerings for families to enjoy their holiday dinner on Nov. 26.

ABA

1011 S. Congress Ave., Building 2, Suite 180.

Aba is offering a Thanksgiving Feast to-go with a Mediterranean twist. The menu can be ordered for two, four or six guests and includes menu items such as Pumpkin Hummus, Truffle Baked Orzo and Green Beans with Almonds and Mushroom Aioli, Beef Tenderloin Kebab, Brussels Sprouts and the Creme Brûlée Pie. The cost is $48.95 per person, plus tax and guests can choose to add on bottles of wine at an additional cost. Orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 23, at 3 p.m. and pick-up or delivery is Tuesday, Nov. 24, or Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Thanksgiving Feast to-go comes with re-heating instructions. BAKERY LORRAINE

This Thanksgiving, Bakery Lorraine at Domain NORTHSIDE will offer its famous Dutch Apple Pie made with five different apple varieties donning a lattice decor for the holiday season. A decadent, Roasted In-House Pumpkin Pie, mixed with the perfect blend of holiday spices and their signature Jack Daniel’s Pecan Pie, a boozy twist on the classic pecan pie.

  • Pies are $26 each and available for pre-order starting on Wednesday, November 4. Pre-orders can be made online HERE. All pie orders must be placed by Sunday, November 22, at midnight. Pre-order pickups in-store will take place on Wednesday, November 25.

  • Extras will be available at each store on a first-come, serve basis. Pies will be available at all Bakery Lorraine locations in San Antonio and Austin.

Fresa’s will be offering a special holiday menu of meals, sides and desserts that include homemade pies to-go with two prepared Thanksgiving dinners to choose from: The Signature Roasted Turkey Meal or the Roasted Turkey Breast Meal. Orders must be placed no later than Nov. 23, to be picked up by Nov. 25 at Fresa’s South First at 1073 S. 1st St. in South Austin. Just reheat and enjoy!

For Thanksgiving, this Dripping Springs French restaurant will be closed for dinner service Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and will re-open to regular hours on Friday, Nov. 27. Le Vacher is offering pre-order items for Thanksgiving, including cornbread, Escargots Croissants, Sweet Potato Casserole, pies and more. See the full menu linked here.   • Southside Market & BBQ will be offering holiday meal options for Thanksgiving, available to order through Nov. 22. Pick up days include Nov. 24 and Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. Customers can order online at the Elgin location here, Austin Arbor walk location here and their Bastrop location here.

  • The dinner offerings include sausage dressing, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, farm fresh green beans, turkey gravy and rolls with the option of either a 12-14-pound whole smoked grade A turkey ($85), a 4-50-pound boneless smoked turkey breast ($75) or a 4-pound smoked pork loin half ($55). All meats are slow smoked over Texas Post Oak and all sides are handmade. Meals will be cold at pick up and will include complete heating instructions. Meats a la carte and additional sides, including pecan pies made from scratch, are also available for order.

Menu highlights include the Surf N’ Turf Crostini Duo with braised beef short rib, whipped potato, beech mushroom demiglace, grated parmesan, alongside herb butter shrimp, cheesy grits and grated parmesan; Beets & Boursin with sliced beets, baby arugula, roasted walnut, black pepper boursin and honey vinaigrette; 8-ounce New York Strip Au Poivre with lobster mac n’ cheese au gratin and a S’mores Bar with toasted marshmallow topping and graham cracker crumble.
