We're staring down a hot summer for free music in Austin.

On Thursday, "Austin City Limits" announced a new slate of summer tapings featuring rap superstar Lil Yachty, singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis, Mexican acoustic guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela and Gen Z jazz duo DOMi and JD BECK. "ACL," the longest-running music television show in history, is currently taping episodes for its 49th season.

What's the schedule for this summer's ACL tapings?

Earlier this year, the captain of Atlanta's pop trap scene, Lil Yachty, released the career-redefining album "Let's Start Here," a complicated jazz rock experiment that cast the rapper into swirling psychedelia and gospel-tinged soul. His South by Southwest set at Waterloo Park this year was thwarted by heavy rains and he'll be back in town for Austin City Limits Music Festival this fall. In between, he'll swing by ACL Live for a taping on June 28.

Rodrigo & Gabriela, the Mexican acoustic guitar duo who mash up flamenco and heavy metal, will be joined by the Austin Symphony Orchestra for a special performance on July 7. This will be the first time the symphony has ever appeared on "ACL."

Jazz duo DOMi and JD Beck, the first act that Anderson.Paak signed to his Blue Note imprint, will tape an episode on July 8. Jenny Lewis will tape her third episode of the show on July 26. Lewis first appeared on the show with Rilo Kiley in Season 31 and then leading her own band in Season 40.

The newly announced tapings add to a lineup that already included Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on June 14, Tanya Tucker on July 10 and Jorge Drexler on July 31.

How do I get free tickets to these 'ACL' tapings?

Roughly a week before each taping, "ACL" organizers will post an online signup. Fans can enter their email for a chance to win randomly selected free passes.
