Austin Pets Alive! opening new thrift store location in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Local animal rescue Austin Pets Alive! will celebrate the grand opening of its new thrift store location in Round Rock on Saturday.

This will be the fourth thrift store the organization has opened in Central Texas, with proceeds from the sales going directly to support the rescue. The new store is located at 913 North Interstate 35.

The grand opening celebration happens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be adoptable pets there, hourly prize drawings, local vendors and a ribbon cutting.

Austin Pets Alive! also said the first 50 customers will get exclusive offers.

“Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers have poured their hearts into making this opening happen,” APA! Retail Operations Manager Derrick Ernst said in a news release. “We are thrilled for our community to be part of the celebration. Our thrift stores play a big role in helping fund our shelter, so we truly appreciate those who visit.”

APA! is not stopping at just four thrift stores, though. The organization said a fifth location will open in Pflugerville next month.
