New Austin spot The Breakfast Bar offers Southern eats, mimosas and more

A new breakfast and brunch spot has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 13717 Mopac Service Road, the new arrival is called The Breakfast Bar.

The Breakfast Bar offers a mix of Southern and Mexican eats. Expect breakfast tacos, omelettes, waffles, fruit-infused mimosas and more. The menu features a lollipop chicken and red velvet waffles, a jalapeño pork chop taco and an oxtail omelet.

Dao T., who reviewed the new spot on Nov. 3, wrote, "We were seated promptly and food didn't take too long as we waited with a delicious frozen mimosa. Try the raspberry and peach mix! ... My fiancé ordered the mile high and mentioned it was pretty good. It was filled with chorizo, ham, sausage, veggies and cheddar cheese. We also shared half stack of sweet cream pancakes, and it was cooked to perfection!"

Kathryn G. shared, "We were pleasantly surprised with this new breakfast spot... wide variety of creative breakfast options along with the comfort classics. We shared a flight of the strawberry bourbon French toast, the jalapeño cheddar biscuits and gravy, and the holy cow taco. All amazing! We will be back!"
