“Australia has joined a core group of partners, including France and the UK, to ensure Russia's leadership is held accountable for its illegal invasion of Ukraine,” Wong wrote.

On Jan. 19, 2023, the European Parliament adopted a resolution demanding the Russian political and military leadership be held accountable for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

On Oct. 7, 2022, the Ukrainian parliament called on the international community to establish a special tribunal for the crime of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

On Sept. 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy formed a task force to push for an international tribunal.
