Australian investor sells Mall at Robinson

Great Neck, New York-based Kohan Retail Investment Group has made its biggest mall buy in western Pennsylvania yet.

The company, which has scooped up such declining local malls as Washington Crown Center, Clearview Mall and the Indiana Mall in recent years, has now bought the Mall at Robinson.

The deal was announced by JLL Capital Markets, which represented the seller, the Australia-based investment firm, QIC US Management, which bought the Parkway West retail property from its original developer, what was then called Forest City Enterprises, in a 10-property portfolio deal in 2018.

According to the JLL announcement, Kohan bought the mall for $46 million, or a little more than $52 a square foot for the 874,552-square-foot mall.
