Australian Prime Minister Ushered Into Police Car After Activists Vandalise Vehicle and Building in Queensland

Refugee rights activists staged a protest at Queensland University where Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison was visiting on October 12.

The protesters threw red liquid on the glass doors of a building and on the government car used to transport the prime minister.

Footage livestreamed to the Facebook page of local activist group Refugee Solidarity Meanjin shows protesters standing outside a paint-soaked building holding a sign that reads: “I’m sorry I came here by boat. I’m sorry I’m seeking safety”.

At four minutes and 16 seconds into the video, red liquid can be seen on the C1 government car. The final moments of the footage capture Scott Morrison being ushered into a police car. Credit: Refugee Solidarity Meanjin via Storyful
