Australia's tennis star Barty arrives for Tokyo 2020
Barty, 25, aims to join Steffi Graf (1988) and Venus (2000) and Serena (2012) Williams as the only women in the Open era to win Wimbledon and Olympic singles gold in the same year.
Japan's Naomi Osaka heads the field in the women's singles, while several big names in tennis events will not be travelling to Tokyo including former singles and doubles gold-medallist Rafa Nadal, four-time gold-medallist Serena Williams, U.S. Open champion Dominic Thiem and Romanian two-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep.
A total of 46 nations will be represented at the Olympic tennis event which will be held at the Ariake Tennis Park from July 24 until August 1.
