Back at Hauck's Corner — Hauck's Handy Store stood at the corner of Goss Avenue and George Hauck Way in Schnitzelburg for 100 years before it closed. Now after $1 million (!!!!) in renovations it's reopening as a bar paying tribute to the Hauck's story. The bar is almost entirely reclaimed wood, vintage fixtures, and a classic cheap-beers-and-bologna-sandwiches menu.

Authentic Chicago pizza — Jake & Elwood's on Frankfort Avenue serves up Chicago-style deep-dish pizza and hot dogs, a style of food that everyone has an opinion on. Contributing writer Lennie Omalza sat down with the owners , who said they always wanted to open a Chicago-style restaurant. They're even working to expand the bar space to offer games like pool, ping pong and darts.

A "Next Generation" KFC experience — The newest KFC store has a "modern take" on its famous red and white stripes, and it's different than what you're used to. The dining room is smaller, with an emphasis placed instead on online orders, contactless pickup and drive-thru.
