Author to discuss book on Ku Klux Klan at Ball State event

MUNCIE, Ind. — Author Timothy Egan will discuss his book, "A Fever in the Heartland: The Ku Klux Klan’s Plot to Take Over America, and the Woman Who Stopped Them," at a free event on the Ball State University campus.

The event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Ball State University Art and Journalism Building, 1125 N. McKinley Ave.

Egan will be in conversation with journalist Adam Wren about the history of the Klan in Indiana, "the brave individuals who stood up to its influence and the implications of this history for Hoosiers today," according to a release.

“Through his writing, Egan demonstrates how critical it is to remember the not-so-distant past,” said Megan Telligman, director of programs at Indiana Humanities.

Registration to attend the discussion is required at https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/inconversation-with-timothy-egan-2736059.
