The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Bellingham Police Department, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office, the Massachusetts State Police and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.

Authorities have not identified the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash. That person was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.

Morandi grew up in Walpole and attended Tri-County Regional High School in Franklin where he learned to be a mechanic, according to his obituary. He spent 30 years as a truck driver and mechanic with W.D. Cohen in Canton and then Capone Brothers, also in Canton.

According to his obituary, Morandi would frequently ride his Harley Davidson Street Glide across the country. For his Celebration of Life, scheduled for 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the James H. Delaney & Sons Funeral Home in Walpole, family members are requesting that attendees eschew formal attire and instead wear Harley Davidson T-shirts, jeans and boots.

Morandi was a father of three — Jeffrey Morandi, of Bellingham; Rebecca Morandi, of Walpole; and Samantha A Morandi, of Lakeville.

He also had a grandson, Michael Morandi.

Morandi's funeral will be Monday.
