Authorities locate 1 of 2 Jefferson Co. jail escapees, second inmate still at large
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ark. – Officials in Jefferson County said one of two men who recently escaped the W.C. “Dub” Brassel Detention Center is now back in custody.
Authorities said 22-year-old Noah Roush is now back in custody after being found after deputies received a 911 call saying the escapee was in an abandoned home in the area of Plum and 19th Street in Pine Bluff.
A release from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office stated Captain Yohance Brunson spotted Roush, who tried to run away from the scene. Brunson was able to capture Roush with the help of two members of the Southeast Arkansas College (SEARK) Department of Public Safety.
Deputies said they discovered on Monday morning that Roush and 23-year-old Jatonia Bryant escaped the jail.
On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said that a $2,500 reward was being offered for each escapee.

Roush was being held on suspicion of residential burglary and theft of property and was a suspect in a homicide.
Bryant, who was being held on probable cause for capital murder, is described as standing 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighing approximately 145 pounds.
There was no word from authorities regarding what new charges Roush would face after the escape.

Officials said the search for Bryant is ongoing and ask anyone with information on his location to call Captain Yohance Brunson at 870-692-3376, Lieutenant Terry Wingard at 870-510-0395 or dial 911. Tips can also be submitted through the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office website.
