Authorities seek public’s help to find dog missing after car crash in Springfield

Animal control officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a brown-and-white pit bull that went missing after a car crash in Springfield.

The female dog, Nala, was last seen running towards Dwight Street near Exit 2 after an accident on 291 West in Springfield, according to the Thomas J. O’Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center.

“Our Officer was called out to the scene of an accident where a dog was ejected from a vehicle,” the shelter said in a Facebook post.

Nala may be injured and frightened, officials said.

Anyone who sees Nala is asked to not chase her and call animal control with any information at 413-781-1484 ext 1.
