Rockstar Games released a long-awaited 90-second, unrated trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI on Monday. As expected, it's looking good for car enthusiasts.

The next installment in the blockbuster series will feature an enormous collection of cars, bikes, planes, boats, and more that you will be able to buy or steal. The game will be released in 2025 on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

It has been a decade since Grand Theft Auto V was first released. That game sold over 190 million units to become the third bestselling video game ever, behind only Minecraft and Tetris. Of course, GTA features a lot more vehicles than either Minecraft or Tetris. The build-up for a new GTA installment has been intense, and with the release of the new trailer, we finally get our first look into this immersive, open-world game.

The vehicles have always played a key role in the GTA series and the newest release looks to take things to another level. Like the city names (Vice City is Miami-inspired), actual car names are not used in the series. However, in the trailer for the new game, you can see cars inspired by the Porsche 911, Ferrari Testarossa, Dodge Challenger, and dozens of others.

We also see in the trailer a scene of a street takeover that is likely coordinated with the Instagram Live or TikTok-style social media which appears to be integrated into the actual gameplay. Given this and the vehicles we see, this game seems to be set in the modern day.

The graphics for the various cars, trucks, planes, and boats look incredible. Those takeover scenes look as though you are watching the evening news.

Lucia will be the franchise's first female protagonist. We are introduced to her at the beginning of the trailer at what appears to be a parole hearing. Although she does not appear to be fully reformed, as the clip ends with her about to commit an armed robbery.

The trailer was officially dropped less than 24 hours ago and has already had over 71 million views. To say that this game is highly anticipated would be an understatement. Based on the trailer, fans of GTA will find that the long wait will be worth it.
