'Avengers: Endgame' has already leaked on torrent sites
It’s only been out for a few hours in the UK – and it’s not even out at all yet in the US – but Avengers: Endgame has already leaked.
The climactic final episode in current Marvel movie series is turning up on illegal torrent sites, following its release in China yesterday.
According to Variety the whole of the film started being shared online between 4pm and 5pm, as a 1.2gb video file.

The file is said to be ‘cammed’ – filmed from a cinema screen with a camera – and ‘particularly bad… the image flickers constantly throughout… It’s semi-rotated and is littered throughout with watermarks for a gambling site that spin around the screen’.
It’s sadly just the latest leak, after another clip containing spoilers of the movie began circulating online, with trolls then dropping additional spoilers on comment threads.
Only yesterday, Marvel boss Kevin Fiege commented on the leaks.
He told the Associated Press: “I wasn’t pleased. It’s not cool. It’s not fun. But the response was what I expected, which was everybody turning it off, dismissing it, ‘Don’t watch it, don’t spoil it for anybody else.’”
Fiege’s remarks followed a plea from the movie’s directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, who took to Twitter last week after news of early leaks emerged.
“Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help,” they wrote in a message to fans.

“When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you. Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.”
Despite the larger leak coming from China, Endgame has already brought in as much as $130 million in revenue in the second biggest movie market in the world since its release yesterday.
It’s thought that it could even break the $1 billion barrier over the space of its five-day worldwide opening.
Yesterday saw it opening in South Korea, France, Germany, Australia, Italy, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Scandinavia.
As of midnight last night, it’s now also open in the UK, Brazil, Poland, Argentina and Portugal, with Japan, Mexico, Spain, India, and South Africa following on Friday.
The movie’s first chapter, Avengers: Infinity War, launched to $640.5 million in April, 2018, but that was without China, which opened the following month, and added a staggering $210 million to the total in just three days.
