Avengers and Game of Thrones duo feature in first look at new TV drama
Avengers star Jeremy Renner and Game of Thrones villain Aidan Gillen have a new crime drama coming out this autumn, titled Mayor of Kingstown.
Not to be mistaken for Kate Winslet's recent Mare of Easttown, this 10-episode series comes from Taylor Sheridan, whose previous credits include Sicario, Those Who Wish Me Dead and Yellowstone.

With a trailer now available online, we've been given a first look at Renner's character Mike McLusky and Gillen's Russian mob leader Milo Sunter.
As for what it's all about, the McLusky family (including Bloodline actor Kyle Chandler as Mitch and Oscar winner Dianne Wiest as Miriam) are power brokers in Kingstown, where incarceration is a thriving industry.
Systemic racism, inequality and corruption are just some of the themes that'll be addressed in the series, as the McLusky clan tries to wrangle with a town lacking in any order or justice.

Judging by the critical consensus for Sheridan's smokejumper-vs-assassin movie Those Who Wish Me Dead, he'll be hoping his TV project is more kindly received.
"With the guaranteed brilliance of the good guys and pivotal blunders by the bad guys, amid lightning fields and licking flames and noisy fusillades, Those Who Wish Me Dead finally implodes in a fireball of cheesy disaster-flick cliches," wrote The Washington Post back in May.
IGN Movies went on to summarise: "Those Who Wish Me Dead sees Angelina Jolie return to her action roots in what amounts to an underwritten vehicle. While there's plenty of large entertaining set pieces, Sheridan's intriguing premise withers under its overabundant components."
Mayor of Kingstown debuts on streaming service Paramount+ this November.
