Gas prices drop below $5 per gallon in Washington

The average cost for a gallon of gasoline in Washington has dropped below $5, according to AAA.

As of Aug. 10, the average price is $4.825 for a gallon of regular gasoline.

The price has dropped considerably since June, when it peaked at $5.55 a gallon.

Washington’s cost per gallon is still way more than the national average of $4.05 per gallon.

However, the dropping prices aren’t bringing drivers to the pumps. According to AAA, Americans have changed their driving habits to cope with higher prices.

Experts with AAA say that as gas demands stay low and supply continues to increase with falling oil prices, drivers will continue to see lower prices at the pump.
