Stay at one of these 7 great oceanfront campgrounds around Myrtle Beach and avoid beach parking

If you’re coming to Myrtle Beach, you’ll want to maximize your time on the beach. For visitors camping or bringing their RV, a beach-front campground is the way to go.

You don’t have to worry about beach parking. Plus you can save time getting to the coast and won’t have to wake up as early to watch the sun rise.

While you can’t pitch a tent on the beach, here are campgrounds located right next to the famed Grand Strand sands.

Huntington Beach State Park

  • Named S.C.’s best state park for 2023 by Southern Living, Huntington Beach State Park is famous for its alligator and bird sightings and surf fishing. Campers can stay at the 180 tent and RV campsites, with electric and water hookups and complimentary wifi.

Ocean Lakes Family Campgrounds

  • Conveniently located off at the intersection of Highway 544 and US-17 Business, Ocean Lakes has beach houses and 859 pull through campsites. Visitors can check out the campground’s water park, including a lazy river, splash pad and water slides.

Lakewood Camping Resort
