Avoid the Flu, get your shot

CHILLICOTHE― The Ross County Health District wants to keep the community safe. This is why they are doing their part in stopping the flu by offering 11 flu shot clinics across 21 different locations in the county in October.

The shot will cost $25 to those without accepted insurance coverage. The district accepts cash, Medicaid, Medicaid HMOs, Medicare, Medicare HMOs, Anthem BCBS, Cigna, CoreSource, United Health Care, Aetna and Medical Mutual Insurance. You must have your insurance ID card available to receive the benefit.

The clinics will be held on the following dates and times:

  • Oct. 4 at the Senior Citizens Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Oct. 5 at Paint Valley Ministries from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Oct. 6 at the YMCA from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Oct. 6 at Ohio University Chillicothe from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 11 at the Adelphi Community Center from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Oct. 11 at the Kingston Annex from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 11 at the Springfield Township Garage from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Oct. 11 at the Harrison Township Fire Department from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Oct. 12 at the Liberty Township Fire department from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Oct. 12 at the Jefferson Township Fire Department from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 13 at the Concord Township Fire Department from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Oct. 13 at the Deerfield Township Fire Department from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 14 at Yoctangee Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Oct. 17 at Lyndon Township Hall from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Oct. 17 at the Bainbridge Senior Center from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 18 at Tabernacle Church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • Oct. 18 at Ohio University Chillicothe from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Oct. 18 at the Huntington Township Fire Department from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Oct. 19 at Union Township Fire Department from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Oct. 20 at St. Mary's Church from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Oct. 20 at St. Peter's Church from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
