Avoid the naughty list: When to mail your holiday packages so they arrive in time

They say the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year, but as any adult knows, it can also be the most exhausting.

However, knowing the deadlines for sending holiday packages in the mail may help alleviate some of your seasonal stress. If you want your letters and gifts to arrive by Dec. 25, here's when you should ship them using the U.S. Postal Service.

  • Dec. 18: Priority Mail

  • Dec. 20: Priority Mail Express

First-Class Mail is not guaranteed to arrive by Dec. 25 as delivery depends on many variables, including but not limited to destination, origin and Post Office acceptance date.
