The award winners for the winter sports season in the Coastal Canyon League

Gabriela Jaquez of league champion Camarillo earned MVP honors for girls basketball and Isaiah Sherrard of league champion Oak Park was named the MVP for boys basketball for the 2021-22 Coastal Canyon League winter season.

Named to the girls first team were Emily Lim, Anika Carey and Makenna Phelan of Camarillo; Jasmine Berry and Avanthika Ramasamy of Moorpark; Sophie Graves and Selene Arteaga of Royal; and Kaitlyn Padilla of Simi Valley.

Named to the girls second team were Christa Contreras of Camarillo; Megan Levin of Moorpark; Janelle Herrera of Royal; Haley Madsen, Faith Madsen and Abigail Degnan of Simi Valley; and Lucy Heine Van Fossen and Janae Brown of Oak Park.

Craig Sasaki of Royal was named the girls Coach of the Year.

Named to the boys first team were Jordan Torres and Marcos Jaquez of Camarillo; Jack Benyshek and Angel Navarro of Simi Valley; Samson Hall of Moorpark; Seshsha Henderson of Oak Park; and Drew Romano of Royal.

Aaron Shaw of Oak Park was named the boys Coach of the Year.

Manny Galvez of Moorpark was named the Coach of the Year.

Savannah Hutchins of league champion Moorpark was named the Offensive MVP, Jennifer Bill of Moorpark and Delaney Schultze of Royal were the co-Defensive MVPs, and Emma Ott of Moorpark was the MVP Goalkeeper.

Michael Alexander of Moorpark was named the Coach of the Year.

GIRLS WATER POLO

Kyan Callo of league champion Camarillo was named the Player of the Year and Emma Kohlbeck of Camarillo earned Goalie of the Year honors.

Named to the first team were Emily Baughn, Kendall Ribbers and Summer McNabb of Thousand Oaks; Kendal Santos, Cassidy Yanca and Milla Malesich of Camarillo; Abby McGuire and Ashlan Gee of Royal; and Summer Demmon and Gabrielle MacNeill of Moorpark.

Named to the second team were Emma Loewe, Mia Hatch, Lillian Hall and Anette Nava of Camarillo; Payton Del Olmo, Rachel Lewis, Kendall Culhane and Renee Fournier of Thousand Oaks; Amelie Burg and Savannah Packard of Royal; and Sofia Farina and Raelene Sichmeller of Moorpark.

Josh Halem of Camarillo was named the Coach of the Year.

WRESTLING

Aidan Hansen of league champion Royal was the boys Lower Weight MVP and Miles Kline of Camarillo was the boys Upper Weight MVP.

Earning first-team honors (boys and girls) were Mason Carrillo, Nicholas Madrigal, William Fulgentes, Sunny Halub, Ireland Donnelly and Calvin Velasco of Royal; Brayden Kuskie, Emilio Medina, Daniel Simons, Nicolas Navarrete, Ethan Paredes, Daniel Gurovich, Leslie Barragan, Makensey Schlimgen, Trinity Tipton and Hunter Hall of Camarillo; and Logan Andrews of Moorpark.

Rich Carrillo of Royal was named the Coach of the Year.
