Just imagine how this would look in your garage.
Pretty much everyone has dreamed of owning a Chevy Corvette. It’s America’s sports car, an icon of unbridled freedom with a distinct, wholesome apple pie flavoring. While there are quite a few ‘Vettes on the market, not all of them boast the kinds of credentials you’d get with this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This C2 has won some shows, thanks to a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration where the chassis was powder coated. You could lay on your back, or better yet put this car on a lift and just stare in awe at the underside, because it’s beautiful.
There’s even more that makes this not your average ’65 Corvette. A GM vice president was the first owner, and he didn’t skimp on the features, adding 16 factory options.
A beautiful Ermine White exterior sparkles in the sunlight. Three years into the new Stingray design, you can see the Corvette was maturing in all the right ways. This car doesn’t feature acres of chrome, but the brightwork which is present looks very nice. A white convertible top looks to be in perfect condition, so you don’t need to worry about leaks or it downgrading the appearance of the car. Just as impressive are the side pipes and knock-off wheels with gold line tires, which always tickle the fancy of onlookers.
You’re forgiven for expecting a Red interior, because that was common for 1965. Instead, the Blue is a breath of fresh air, matching nicely with the car’s body. A black dash and wood steering wheel complete the look. All the original controls are in place, including the factory radio. Air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, and even a power antenna were included from the factory.
Lift the hood and you’ll find a numbers-matching 327ci V8 paired to a numbers-matching automatic transmission. The combination makes this ‘Vette fun and easy to drive.
Since the C2 Corvette only lasted until 1967, these cars are definitely considered collectors items, especially in this condition. Whoever ends up getting this Chevrolet will surely have a great time with it. If you want that to be you, contact Premier Auction Group to get details on how you can bid on this ride.
