It seems like our summer guilty pleasure shows have barely even started, but we're already getting news about fall TV.

The upcoming sixth season of Shonda Rhimes's hit ABC drama How t0 Get Away With Murder will be its last, with the show coming to an end after five years on air. In case you didn't know, the Shondaland show stars Viola Davis as lead character Annalise Keating, a troubled lawyer and professor who leads her team of law students and colleagues through a serious of fatal mysteries that quickly creep into their personal lives. (And yes, there is a lot of murder).

"One of the greatest rides of my life! Here's to the final, extraordinary curtain call!" Davis wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a trailer for season 6.

Rhimes also shared a clip on her personal account, captioning it with an emotional farewell.

"#HTGAWM has brought us six years of twists and turns," the producer wrote. "Thank you to the cast, crew, and writers for your dedication and passion. Thank you to the fans who have watched since the beginning. Finally, thank you, @petenowalk. Working with you has been a true pleasure. This might be the last season, but there's still so much to cover. Get ready for a wild ride."

Of course, fans took to Twitter to react to the news via tweet and meme. "wow [sic] I’m in total shock, htgawm has been my favorite show for years. One of the reason why I wanted to be a lawyer. I’m truly sad about this news omg," wrote one user.

Another expressed themselves with a crying Ilana from Broad City.

And there was also this:

Plus Oprah:

And a crying Wendy Williams.

Yes, very dramatic, but we get it.

In season five, *spoiler ahead* fans were left with yet another cliff hanger with Laurel (Karla Souza) and her infant son's disappearance. And if the angsty first-look that Davis and Rhimes shared is any indication, we're in for tons more of dramatics.

The final season of How to Get Away With Murder premieres on Thursday, September 26. But if you want to catch up beforehand, the show is available on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. Will you be watching?
