How to Get Away with Murder star addresses character's fate

With How to Get Away with Murder's final season continuing apace, it was only a matter of time until the original Keating Five lost another member. The latest victim? Matt McGorry's Asher Millstone.
'Are You the Mole?' was packed full of twists, turns, and revelations, not least the reveal that Asher had been blackmailed into working as an FBI informant – news that swiftly put the divisive lawyer in grave danger.
After discovering that Asher had betrayed the group, and high on magic mushrooms, Conrad Ricamora's Oliver Hampton struck Asher around the head with a fire poker – but that may not have been the final nail in his coffin.

Although Asher initially managed to recover from the blow and find his way to Bonnie Winterbottom (Liza Weil), fans watched as he later bled to death from a head wound in his apartment.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about his dramatic – and somewhat ambiguous – departure, McGorry admitted that he still has no idea who, or what, killed Asher.
"I know that the writers on the show have succeeded in continually making me keep guessing about all the different plot points in the last six years. I know well enough now than to try and actually spend too much mental energy predicting," Matt confessed.
"Even as I play that scene, I do not know who killed Asher either."
Fans hoping for a definitive answer may be well in luck, because Matt also confirmed that he will be returning for How to Get Away with Murder's final episodes in "flashbacks".
"You'll definitely be seeing more of Asher," he added. "There's going to be pieces of the mystery that are going to be filled in over the course of time. Asher may be dead, but he will also be present."
How to Get Away with Murder airs on ABC in the US, with Sky Witness and NOW TV currently airing season 5 in the UK. You can also catch up with series 1-4 on Netflix.
