Azerbaijan's forces shell Armenian targets near Terter

Azerbaijan's forces shelled Armenian targets near the frontline of the fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh on Wednesday (October 7) with the conflict showing no sign of easing on the 11th day of violence.

The clashes are the worst since the 1990s, when some 30,000 people were killed. They have raised international concern about stability in the South Caucasus.

A resident in Azeri city of Barda said his home was severely destroyed in fighting on Sunday (October 4). Ilgar Ferzeliyev said he was watching TV when his house was hit by a rocket.

Both Armenia and Azerbaijan deny targeting civilians.
