Baby opossums saved by SLO city staff in ‘heartwarming’ rescue
Two San Luis Obispo city staff members rescued three orphaned baby opossums last month.
The city employees spotted the opossums near the Parks and Recreation office on Nipomo Street, the city announced via Instagram.
The Instagram post called the rescue “a heartwarming tale of teamwork and compassion.”
SLO County nonprofit Pacific Wildlife Care relocated the opossums to a foster home while the critters prepare to embark “on their journey back to the wild where they belong,” the post said.
