Babyface is feeling the blues about getting the heave-ho from soul singer Anita Baker amid their national tour.

After engaging in a firestorm of online back-and-forth with Babyface fans for weeks, Baker announced that she’s continuing The Songstress Tour alone — making it clear he was an “opening act.”

“After silently enduring cyber-bullying/verbal abuse and threats of violence from the fan base of our special guest/support act [and] in the interest of personal safety, I will continue The Songstress Tour alone,” the 65-year-old Grammy winner tweeted Tuesday. “Appropriate refunds will be made.”

Babyface — whose real name is Kenneth Edmonds — took to Instagram to react to his removal from the tour, which is scheduled to run through December.

“I am saddened by the news that Anita Baker has decided to remove me from The Songstress Tour. It’s unfortunate and disheartening to see how things have played out via social media,” he said.

“While I was looking forward to the rest of the dates, I have nothing but love and respect for Anita and I wish her the best for the remainder of her tour,” the 64-year-old “Whip Appeal” crooner added.

The drama began during the May 10 concert at Newark’s Prudential Center after Babyface apologized to fans for not taking the stage as planned when technical difficulties pushed back the show.

“I was asked not to perform in order to give Ms. Baker her space and time to perform her show in its entirety,” he wrote on Twitter.

Baker later claimed that Babyface fans had been cyber-bullying her for cutting him from the New Jersey show and, in doing so, making it clear that he was not co-headlining.

“This false narrative of a co-headliner is creating unrealistic expectations and aggression from his fans towards me. He should tell you guys the truth,” Baker responded, later adding that Babyface’s contract was to be a “special guest/support act.”

Before this tour was announced, the two artists had a checkered professional past.

In 2006, Babyface filed a breach of contract lawsuit, claiming Baker owed him more than $250,000. According to Billboard, oral agreements over producer’s royalties fees were allegedly broken in relation to the song “Like You Used to Do” from Baker’s 2004 album “My Everything,” which Babyface co-wrote, produced and performed on.
