A reality TV star plans to renovate a house on the Treasure Coast, he announced on his social media last week.

Tyler Cameron competes on “Special Forces: World's Toughest Test,” which premiered last week and airs 9 p.m. Mondays on FOX, and was the “The Bachelorette” Season 15 runner-up in 2019.

The 30-year-old Jupiter native was a contractor before he became a reality TV star. He went back to his roots after "The Bachelorette,” announcing in December 2020 he had started buying land in his native Florida.

In a video he posted, Cameron shows the key to his new house in Hobe Sound, and takes a tour with the song “Buy Dirt” playing in the background.

“I just bought this house,” he says. “I’m so excited to share with you guys a brand new project I’m going to start doing here.”

He paid $660,000 for the two-story, 2,559-square-foot home with four bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms in the 9100 block of Southeast Duncan Street in Papaya Village on May 4, according to the Martin County property appraiser’s website.

He asks for ideas on renovating the 1975 home.

“We’re going to make this ugly little thing beautiful,” Cameron says. “This is going to be a big project.”

He talks about converting one area into a podcast room and one bedroom into an office for the Andrea C. Cameron Foundation, a scholarship program created in honor of his mother, who died in March 2020 from a brain aneurysm. He also talks about turning the garage into a gym and seeing the possibilities for a farm, pool or pickleball court.

“My favorite place in the whole house is this little outdoor patio,” he says from the balcony.
