BackForty Designs expands services in Wayne County

Jan. 3—A family-owned and operated vinyl design, print and installation business constructed a new facility next to its original shop built in 2015.

BackForty Designs LLC's new 3,300-square-foot building includes a 2,400-square-foot production area — double the size of the old shop.

Ed Belavitz, owner of BackForty Designs, said the expansion was necessary to keep up with demand.

"Once the pandemic hit, business exploded and we needed more space," he said.

The company's services include commercial vehicle and trailer lettering, wraps, signage, banners and window tinting.

Belavitz said staff moved into the new facility in late October.

BackForty Designs received $5,114 in grant funding through the Wayne Economic Development Corportation to support the expansion project.
