Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny made his WWE debut at WrestleMania on Saturday when he teamed up with Damian Priest in a match against American wrestlers John Morrison and The Miz.

The match saw the Grammy-winning artist deliver a tandem falcon arrow (a move where the attacking wrestler lifts his rival in a vertical suplex position to then transition into a sit-out slam) with Priest, and a “Canadian Destroyer” (a flip piledriver-like manoeuvre) to Morrison, which led to the singer’s victory.

According to reports, Bunny’s performance during the 15-minute match was quite impressive and set an apparently outlandish bar for other VIP visitors to attempt to outperform.

Bunny took to Instagram on Saturday to announce: “Tomorrow will be one of the most important days of my life. Another dream come true. Benito in WrestleMania! I still can’t believe it!! I have so much to say and count. I better give thanks as it will be a special day! Tomorrow I risk my life in the ring! But no, we’re not scared. Let’s go! You can’t miss it for anything in the world. Wish me luck!!!”

American professional wrestler Randal Orton told Wrestling Inc: “I gotta say thank you to Bad Bunny for having respect for what I do and what everyone else in the locker room does, and what WWE does. I appreciate him, as a fan, but now I can look over at him and call him a fellow performer in my world.”

He added: “It’s a breath of fresh air to know someone like that, with that big of a following, that successful in his own world, steps into our but treats us all with respect. That’s usually not the case when it comes to people coming backstage into our world. I’ve seen it a lot over the years.”

At the end of the WrestleMania weekend, the artist threw in another surprise by announcing his 2022 world tour El Último Tour del Mundo.

The tour announcement video was shared by Bunny on Instagram where WWE star Triple H praised the songwriter for his wrestling performance. “You did amazing at WrestleMania but now, it’s time for you to do what you do,” H said, before handing Bunny a yellow case.

“Thanks,” Bad Bunny responded, prior to opening the bag and revealing a silver microphone that looks like a skull. It is subsequently uncovered that the case reads “Tour 2022” on its side.

“POR FIN!!! ESTÁN LISTOS??? (Finally! Are y’all ready?)” Bunny captioned the video.
