Baker Mayfield returns to Browns practice in preparation for Sunday night game vs. Ravens

Baker Mayfield returned to practice Thursday, preparing to quarterback the Browns (6-5) on the road this weekend against the AFC North-leading Baltimore Ravens (7-3) on "Sunday Night Football."

Mayfield said he plans to play in Baltimore despite his long list of injuries, so his return to practice on Thanksgiving came as no surprise, even though he didn't participate in Wednesday's session.

The Browns listed Mayfield (left shoulder, foot, groin) as a full practice participant on Thursday's injury report.

Four other Browns players returned to practice Thursday. They are wide receivers Jarvis Landry (knee, limited) and Donovan Peoples-Jones (groin, limited), defensive tackle Malik Jackson (knee, limited) and rookie linebacker Tony Fields II (illness, full).

Center JC Tretter (knee) and rookie receiver Anthony Schwartz (concussion) are the only Browns players who sat out Thursday.

Mayfield has been dealing with an injured non-throwing shoulder since he suffered a completely torn labrum Sept. 19 against the Houston Texans. He suffered a fractured humerus bone in the same shoulder Oct. 17 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Mayfield said his left heel bothered him in a game for the first time Nov. 7 against the Cincinnati Bengals, and he suffered a right knee contusion Nov. 14 against the New England Patriots.

On Wednesday's injury report, the Browns removed the knee injury and added a groin injury for Mayfield. The groin injury stems from Sunday's 13-10 win over the Detroit Lions.
