New Balance to bring 150 jobs to Wilson County's Speedway Industrial Park

New Balance Athletics is expected to create approximately 150 fulltime jobs as the company becomes part of Speedway Industrial Park in Lebanon.

The athletic shoe and fitness apparel company will move into an approximate 350,000 square foot automated processing facility expected to be complete in late summer 2023.

New Balance will invest $68.5 million to establish the new distribution center, according to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.

The new distribution center “will drive increased agility, capacity and collaboration across our North American distribution network,” New Balance Chief Operating Officer Dave Wheeler said in a news release.

The project was approved for $966,381 in tax incentives with the company paying $157,484 in personal property taxes over five years, Joint Economic & Community Development Board of Wilson County Director G.C. Hixson said.

The Industrial Development Board of Wilson County also approved a $500,000 grant from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development on behalf of the project, Hixson said.

New Balance is headquartered in Boston.

Speedway Industrial Park is on a portion of the original Nashville Superspeedway property. Speedway Industrial Park is being developed by Panattoni Development Company.
