New Balance x STAUD’s New Drop Includes Two Absolute Must-Shop Sneakers

·2 min read

Folks, I don’t know how, but New Balance and STAUD have done it again. Following three incredible collaborations—including the most recent one this summer, which allowed me channel my inner tennis prep—the two brands are back with their fourth collection, this time a celebration of primary hues and timeless pieces.

Over the last few years, New Balance has solidified its footing (Shoe joke!) as the It Sneaker brand amongst the fashion set. With this in mind, it’s no surprise their shoes inspire the team over at STAUD, a label known for accessible pieces on the pulse of what’s in and what’s next.

The two brands are a match made in fashion collaboration heaven, and this fourth collection will feature two sneakers I officially refuse to get dressed without: the classic 574s and the slightly more modern 57/40s. The former boasts pops of primary color against its signature gray background, while the latter features subtle translucent details that make the bright accents pop against the white leather base.

And of course, there are clothes to boot! This collection leans heavily on the aforementioned primary shades and includes sweats, handbags, a sherpa sweater and even a puffer vest. The silhouettes are classic, but the vibrant color-blocked takes are a fresh boost to any fall wardrobe.

In campaign materials, the brands shared that the collaboration is a celebration of a “Classic Then, Classic Now” aesthetic. And the shoe fits! (I’m sorry, I don’t know why I can’t stop with these footwear jokes.) While these pieces feel perfect for fall 2021, they’ll definitely stand the test of time thanks to the classic colorways, wearable silhouettes and both brands’ attention to detail.

Of course, these collabs usually sell out pretty fast—so if you see something you want, head over to the STAUD site or the New Balance site now. Below, a few of my favorites I’ll be styling up this season and next. Nothing beats a new classic!
