A new butcher has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Located at 2362 N.W. 80th St. in Ballard, the new addition is called Beast And Cleaver.
According to the business's Facebook page, "Beast And Cleaver is family-owned butcher shop coming to Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood focused on whole animal, artisanal butchery."
Beast And Cleaver offers meats like sausages, pate, dry-aged beef and charcuterie. There are also butchery classes and private dinners every Saturday for up to 12 people.
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, the new butcher is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Yelper Fred B. wrote, "Very high-quality meat at reasonable prices and a rare gem of a butcher shop in Seattle. Also thoroughly enjoyed their house-made andouille sausage."
And Dudley G. added, “Very knowledgeable and pleasant staff. I'll be coming back here often.”
