Bally Sports KC will broadcast Royals game with format inspired by ESPN’s ‘ManningCast’

Television viewers and streamers who want to watch Wednesday’s Royals-Blue Jays game will have multiple options instead of the usual one.

Bally Sports Kansas City will air their normal broadcast with Ryan Lefebvre and Rex Hudler calling the action from Kauffman Stadium.

There also will be a second broadcast option available to fans who stream the game either on the Bally Sports app (with their TV login and password) or via Bally Sports+, the network’s streaming service.

That second broadcast will be called “Royals All Access” and Bally Sports KC said it will be modeled after ESPN’s popular “ManningCast” of “Monday Night Football” games.

Joel Goldberg will serve as host and he’ll interview four or five guests while the game is being shown. Hall of Famer George Brett and former Royals pitcher Jeremy Guthrie are among those who will join Goldberg for the broadcast.

Bally Sports Kansas City said J.J. Picollo, the Royals’ executive vice president and general manager, overseeing baseball operations, is tentatively scheduled to appear.

Wednesday night’s Royals-Blue Jays game also will air on the MLB Network.
