Bally Sports Ohio often shows a ceremonial first pitch ahead of a Cincinnati Reds' home game after the fact, but fans were hoping they'd make an exception with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow throwing out the first pitch to head coach Zac Taylor in advance of the Reds' home opener Tuesday against the Cleveland Guardians on Opening Day.
Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase's presentation of the National League Rookie of the Year award to the Reds' Jonathan India also wasn't shown live.
On Wednesday, the Bengals shared behind-the-scenes video of Burrow, Chase and Tee Higgins at Great American Ball Park from Opening Day:

"It's awesome," India said after the game on Bally Sports Ohio, of receiving the award from Chase. "It's pretty cool for Cincinnati to have two (rookies of the year) in their city. He's a cool dude. It was pretty cool to receive an award from him. Wish I got like a jersey swap or something. But I'll definitely try to do that later on. It was a very special moment."
Bally Sports Ohio showed Burrow's first pitch and Chase's award presentation about 15 minutes after Reds starter Tyler Mahle's first pitch of the game.
