Baltimore-area school districts seek to fill many vacancies

From the classroom to the bus stop, school districts in metropolitan Baltimore's suburban counties face staff shortages. On Wednesday, 11 News reported about how Baltimore City Public Schools has 800 teaching positions to fill. Outside the beltway, school districts in the counties are also facing shortages, and it's not just teachers. While the greatest need across the region is for teachers, in Baltimore County, school bus drivers and food service employees are also needed. Baltimore County Public schools has done everything except put help wanted signs outside schools to attract more teachers. Officials said the district is still 435 teachers short.
