Baltimore County recycling plant fire leaves lingering smell in the air

No. The Western Acceptance Facility recycling plant in Halethorpe caught fire and firefighters had been working to extinguish it since 2:30 a.m., Baltimore County fire officials said. The department said the fire was contained Thursday morning but the smelly odor has been reported as far as Rosedale and parts of Baltimore City.
Hazmat crews and state environment department personnel were dispatched to assess the fire at 3310 Transway Road.
