Baltimore renames fire station in honor of pioneering firefighter

Baltimore bestowed an honor Thursday on a pioneering firefighter. The Baltimore City Fire Department renamed Engine 52 on Woodbrook Avenue as the Hilton L. Roberts Sr. Fire Station. In 1954, Roberts was one of the first African American firefighters to graduate and enter the BCFD.
