Baltimore's Asian history preserved through efforts at TU

Towson University is helping to preserve Baltimore's first unofficial "Koreatown" and its culture. The neighborhood began to form in the 1960s and was at its height in the 1990s in the Charles North neighborhood, which is part of the Station North Arts and Entertainment District. The Asian Arts and Culture Center at Towson University is involved in an ongoing project to research the Asian communities of greater Baltimore. Joanna Pecore, the center's director, helped put together a walking tour of Korean landmarks.
