Bank branches mostly opened in predominantly white neighborhoods, report finds

A new report released this week shows few bank branches were opened in majority-minority neighborhoods. The report from the Committee for Better Banks, in partnership with the California Reinvestment Coalition, examined the openings of bank branches by America's largest banks. The groups say their data shows just how deep racial bias runs in the U.S. financial services sector. Jyotswaroop Bawa, chief of organizing and campaigns at the California Reinvestment Coalition, joined KCRA 3 for an interview.
